Dry Process

Manufacturing fiberboard with a “Dry” process is a new technology that that binds the wood fibers under heat and using a small amount of polyolefin fibers as an additional binding agent. The dry products also include ammonium phosphate as a fire retardant.

The biggest benefits of the dry process are a higher R-Value per inch and the product can be made much thicker than wet process products. STEICOspecial can be produced up to 7.9” thick with an R-Value of almost 27!
